If I’m being perfectly honest, there are probably a number of different reasons I decided it would be a good idea to put together a site about chainsaws. My initial idea may have been born out of the need to find an adequate replacement for my own chainsaw, but it wasn’t the only reason that drove me to do this. If you read a lot of the reviews and articles on this site you’ll start to get a good idea of what I’m talking about. I’ve had many experiences with chainsaws over the years and had many opportunities to talk about what it takes to operate one safely with different friends and family members.

Over the years I’ve discovered that chainsaws can come in handy for several different reasons. They are great for simplifying the job of cutting firewood – although doing it the old fashioned way with an axe can be fun on occasion. They’re also great for simply pruning some branches, or cleaning up some brush in your backyard. You don’t have to be a professional lumberjack to get a great deal of use out of a chainsaw, but I can certainly see why it’s an essential tool of that trade. My wife’s cousin is a professional lumberjack and he simply couldn’t do his job without one.

However you slice it (pun intended!) chainsaws are great tools for both the average homeowner and professionals alike. It’s nice to know that there are finally some great green alternatives in the chainsaw market as well these days, although these are probably better for homeowners than professional lumberjacks. Whatever your reasons for using a chainsaw, you’ll find some great information on this site. There are full reviews, mini reviews, and some helpful information articles as well. Hopefully, you’ll find what you’re looking for here and if I’ve made anybody’s life just a little bit easier, well that’s as good a reason as any for creating this site.
